
Katie Dunfey
Innovation and Strategy Director
Katie Dunfey has worked in various capacities at Community Action Partnership Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties throughout her career, giving her a broad understanding of the agency. She began her career at CAPHR in food and nutrition programs and was instrumental in expanding the Summer Food Services Program to provide nutritious meals to children during the summer months. Katie went on to work in Workforce Development programs and led the charge to develop job readiness curriculum for parents receiving TANF so they would be equipped with the skills needed to re-enter the workforce. During the pandemic, she provided oversight in the COVID-related emergency rental programs at CAPHR and was the lead on the statewide Community Action Partnership rental assistance operations team.
Katie is a Nationally Certified Results Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA) Implementer and a Certified Community Action Professional (CCAP). In her current role as Innovation and Strategy Director, Katie brings her knowledge and experience to help guide the agency toward a Whole Family approach to service delivery. This aims to focus on the strengths and needs of all family members to guide them toward self-sufficiency. She is responsible for the agency’s Community Needs Assessment and Strategic Plan and oversees various programs including RSVP, homelessness prevention programs, VITA, and Western Hillsborough County Family Programming.
Katie received a BA in Sociology from Southern NH University and an MS in Leadership from Northeastern University. She and her three children live in Manchester, NH. In her personal time, Katie enjoys traveling with her children, attending concerts, and leading an active lifestyle.
